It was a lovely sunny day and it was a great ride along the A39, Atlantic Highway, to the hill climb. We watched the hill climb and had lunch in the pub over looking the start. The location was stunning with views along the coast towards Cornwall one way and Devon cliffs the other. We spoke to one guy who was using his Ducati 1000ss on the hill climb. But the most popular type of bike was super moto sort of things.

We met up with Pat, Nigel and his wife Jan, who had made their own way to the event. We all had a great ride back.

Looking froward to the Bristol Italian moto fest now.

Guy. Lets hope for better weather than last months!

Instead of St Mawes we ended up riding to the Lizard (most Southly point of UK). The change was due to wet weather around St Austell and the St Mawes area, which I found out when rideing riding from work to Portreath. Nigel had come from Helston and reported dry conditions in that direction, so Nigel on his ST2, Ivor and Jo on his 999, Peter on his Hailwood, Bill on his monster, and myself on my monster headed off. At Redruth Peter and I got to some lights and the others weren't there? Peter said he had seen Ivor stop, so we waited. After about 5 minutes Nigel and Bill arrived to report Ivor's 999 had just cut out and he was going to head home, which fortunatly was just up the road. So the tour was down to four. We had a good ride to the Lizard, although there was a lot of tourist traffic which slowed us up on the twisty bits. After a chat and a couple of photos we headed to Porthleaven. From there Bill and Peter headed home, and I went back to Nigel's for a coffee before going home myself. We had a great ride, good company, fantastic scenery and we stayed dry.

In September we had a ride out to Wiscombe Park, Hill Cimb, near Honiton. Due to other events on only Bill and I rode up together but we where to meet up with others who had gone up the day before or earlier in the day because they were marshalling.
We met up with Pete first who was waiting for his time slot to marshal. We sat and enjoyed the sun and a burger and chat before making our way around and up the hill watching from many different positions. On the way up the hill we met up with Pat and Nigel who were here to celebrate the 40th bike only Hill climb at Wiscombe. Both Pat and Nigel used to do hill climbs. We rode back with Pat as far as St Austell, where he lives. Nigel had come by car and Pete due to no arrangments ended up getting separated because we forgot to let each other know which route we were going to take home! oh well, we still all enjoyed our ride back, just not together.

We enjoyed a Christmas ride out to The Bowgie Inn on the 20th December. After rounding up some brave Ducati owners, as the temperature was not warm! We started the day with a ride down the St Erth Cafe for a coffee and meet up with Ivor, Luke, Bill and his son. The First and Last Motorcycle Club where holding a charity draw, so the place was full. After a coffee and wish all a merry Christmas, we headed off for the Bowgie. We arrived at the Inn dead on one o’clock, which is amazing as that was the time I said we would be there, most unlike me! Roger on his 1000ss met us at the Bowgie. We all enjoyed a huge plate full, and a good time was had before we headed home.
