Horsham Piazza Italia Rally, 2nd April 2010

Postby desmo on Wed Feb 17, 2010 11:39 am

The plan is to meet at Motori Di Marino, The Garage, West Chiltington for coffee around 9.30 – 10am on the 2nd April, then depart for the Hop Oast car park, Horsham at 10.45am. Once there, we join the Ferrari contingent for the ride-in to Horsham. The bikes will then be on display in the Carfax until 3pm, allowing owners to enjoy the Italian themed festivities in the town, and / or chat to people about their bikes.

This year, there will be an alternative start point for bikes travelling from the north. The plan is to join the Surrey Ferrari group in the Dorking area (details to be confirmed.)

If you and any friends are interested in taking part, please let me know asap. The bikes must be Italian, doesn’t matter how old …..or new! Also, any queries – just get in touch! editor@docgb.net

Update - as there has been zero interest in the alternative start at Dorking, there will now be ONE start - Motori Di Marino, West Chiltington.
Any questions / queries, please email editor@docgb.net
Thanks :)

My thanks to all those who braved the elements to take part in the Horsham Piazza Italia rally today, a great range of bikes from Lambrettas to a Desmosedici. A big 'thank you' to Pietro for hosting the start (and supplying refreshments) and to David Warner for leading the ride-out.
I'm not sure yet how much money we raised for the Chestnut Tree House Children's Hospice, but everyone who took part enjoyed themselves - despite the one (heavy) downpour, just on the last part of the parade. Hope that everyone had a safe journey home.
